Components

The iRiS Personal Valet^TM comprises the following parts:

• A handheld 8.4” touch-screen human user interface (HUI), to be installed in each guest room.
• A cradle integrating a wireless access point (WAP), power supply and charger for the HUI
• The resulting property-wide network, providing a wireless network layer on top of the property's established IP infrastructure
• A back-office server to provide data, content aggregation and communications functions to the iRiS system
• A number of peripheral HUI devices in other form factors, including PDAs, standard desktop PCs with touch panels and touch panel monitors for use in kitchens, housekeeping and management facilities
